Description of "Musical Box"

I remember the day when you purposed to me with this delicate ring. We were near the bridge; you were singing my favourite song “Unchained Melody” and I was crying, tears were running down my face and I said, “Yes darling! Of course I’ll be yours!” Being with you has been the most miraculous thing in my life. You healed me, showed me what love could be like.

But now, your love has faded away and you torn my heart into pieces. I couldn’t go on anymore, when memories of our past haunt me every night. Every day I listen to the musical box you gave me on our first date, thinking about us. What have I done wrong? Why did you abandon me for another woman? But it only broke me harder.

Throwing away the musical box, the ring and everything you gave me seems the best solution to cure me. I just want somebody to love me true and that would be enough.

This is a combination of story of my mom and my aunt. My uncle purposed to her singing "Unchained Melody'. My dad abandoned my mom for another woman and the musical box was a gift from their first date.


The musical box belongs to my sister and the ring it belongs to my mother. She didn’t throw it away…she put it in the safety deposit box in the bank.
